We are Simon, Shannon and Joanne
Simon: We work here at my pop-up stand and we sell beautiful pieces at beautiful prices, all the smoking essentials that you need, pipes, papers, rolling treys, weed, mushrooms and edibles. It’s a good time.
Joanne: We are from Ireland, and all the Irish college students come here every summer; to have fun but also to find a job. I also needed a job and I was walking along the beach where I met Simon. In Ireland it’s not legal to sell weed. Over there I would be a drug dealer but here it’s my summer job.
Do your parents know about your job?
Joanne: Yes. My dad said money is money.
Shannon: My parents don’t know, I can’t tell them.

How was your day so far
Simon: Pretty awesome. A Wednesday in the summertime.
Joanne: Chill; and meeting new people is great. Everyone is very interesting and friendly and comes from all over the world.
What is your motto for life?
Shannon: Take one step at a time.
Joanne: YOLO.
Simon: Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
What means the ocean to you?
Joanne: It’s very peaceful to listen to.
Shannon: It’s a nice place to sit and reflect on life.
Simon: Honestly, when you come from New York, you don’t have the ocean. So it’s a different kind of majestic force; there the skyscrapers and here the ocean.

What do you reflect on life sitting here?
Shannon: How grateful you were and things like that.
What makes you optimistic about the future?
Joanne: The possibility to travel makes me optimistic. Especially after those two years.
Simon: I think more people are waking up to higher consciousness and I’m excited to see it happen.
